Hi! Thank you so much for joining us. 😃 Firstly, can you tell us the story behind The Little Botanical and what inspired the idea?

Hello! 😊 We started The Little Botanical because we wanted to make stylish, easy-to-care-for plants accessible to everyone. Plants can feel overwhelming, so we created ready-potted greenery in beautiful bespoke ceramics, delivered straight to your door. No fuss, no repotting, just gorgeous indoor plants you can enjoy instantly - making it simple to bring more nature into everyday life.

Your mission is to make it easier for people to bring greenery into their homes. Why do you think plants are so important in our everyday lives? 🪴

Plants have an amazing way of transforming a space. They bring calm, boost wellbeing, and make our homes feel alive and inviting. In today’s busy world, caring for a plant - and watching it thrive, is such a simple joy. It’s these little green moments that make our homes feel more personal and our days a little brighter.

Sustainability is woven into your brand. Can you tell us how this influences the way you grow, package and deliver your plants?

Sustainability is at the heart of The Little Botanical. We grow our greenery in our nurseries in West Sussex, using a special peat-free compost mix, and package everything in recyclable materials. Because our plants are potted at our nursery, they travel less and arrive healthier. For us, it’s about creating lasting products while reducing waste – ensuring our love of plants goes hand in hand with caring for the planet. 


You work with some amazing charity partners. Can you tell us more about this? 😊

Supporting charities is something we’re really passionate about. We’ve supported many local charities and also partnered with Children on the Edge, who support vulnerable children worldwide, & YoungMinds, who do vital work for children’s mental health. These collaborations allow us to raise awareness and funds for important causes while sharing our love of greenery, helping us give back in meaningful ways.

As the seasons change and we spend more time indoors, plants can make our spaces feel extra cosy. Do you have any seasonal favourites that make perfect gifts this time of year? 🌿🍁

We love gifting plants in autumn and winter, bringing nature inside as the nights draw in. Our Succulent Plant Gang and Mini Sansevieria are brilliant little mood-boosters, while larger plants like Crotons bring warmth and texture indoors. Conversation With Our Crew

We've just complete our second Content Week at The Green Co., where the team comes together to capture new photography and video content for our website, social media and campaigns. As Creative Manager, here are my top three highlights from the week!

1. Bringing our ideas to life.

We spend months planning our shoot lists, themes and creative direction, so it’s always so exciting to see those ideas finally take shape. We’re shooting in a beautiful home near our HQ in Scotland, filled with natural light, stunning interiors and acres of
outdoor space. It's the perfect backdrop for our lifestyle images
and product videos.

2. Time together as a team.

Since I live down south, it’s rare to have the full team together in one place. Content Week is such a lovely chance to collaborate in person, bounce around ideas, and bring our creative energy to life as a team. We always have great fun!

3. Working with brands we love.

I’ve loved working with our brand partners again this week to create unique, authentic imagery and video content. The Little Botanical kindly sent us two gorgeous potted plants for the shoot. They’ve added such a beautiful touch to our set-ups.

We’re also working on something really exciting for the new year, a joint giveaway we know you’ll love!

The Green Co-nversation #19 | May 2026 Can you believe we're on Edition #19 of The Green Co-nversation already? We hope you're enjoying them as much as we are. 😀   There's been big celebrations at The Green Co. this month! We've hit an incredible milestone and also welcomed a new member to our team (who we'll introduce shortly!). We're so excited to be able to continue to grow our brand, and it's down to your amazing support throughout the years. A big thank you to you, it means so much to us!   We're kicking things off with a fun conversation with Cooper King Distillery. Sit back, take five, and enjoy! 💚 A Conversation With Cooper King Distillery  Let's start from the beginning! Cooper King started with a trip to Tasmania and a big life change. Can you tell us how that experience led to launching your own distillery back in the UK? When we went out to Tasmania we didn’t even have whisky on our radar, we were just there to get away from our old jobs and have an adventure. But the whisky scene we found there was so brilliant, it planted an inkling of an idea that we couldn’t shake. It was the first time we’d come across whisky making on such a small scale, but with such high quality results. It didn’t take long for us to realise that this was what we actually wanted to do, so then we spent the next two years in Tasmania learning everything there was to know about making whisky and running a distilling company.  Since those early days, how has Cooper King evolved, and what can people experience today, from your spirits to visiting the distillery? We came home to Yorkshire in 2016 and started our own distillery, modelled on the Tassie idea; small set-up, nothing flashy, focus on the liquid. We physically built the distillery ourselves, started distilling gin in 2018 and whisky (in the copper pot still we shipped over from Tasmania!) in 2019. These days we make gins, liqueurs, vodkas and the single malt whisky. We’re a small team and you can tour the distillery and enjoy a tasting on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We still count as a very new distillery in whisky terms, but we’re carving out our spot in English whisky and building a reputation for delicious, sustainable spirits.  You’ve produced England’s first net zero energy whisky, which is a huge achievement. What did that journey look like, and why was it something you were committed to from the start? It was always going to be the cornerstone of any business we built. We concentrate on energy and water efficiency in all our processes, and then make sure that all the energy that we do have to use comes from renewables (either the grid or our own solar panels). We used an environmental consultant to calculate all our Scope 1 & 2 emissions right from when we began production in 2018, and then these residual emissions were offset in three ways; ‘direct air capture’ with ClimeWorks, planting native broadleaf woodland here with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, and planting overseas in the Guanaré Forest Plantation in Uruguay.  From refill schemes to zero waste to landfill, you’ve built sustainability into the day-to-day running of the distillery. What are some of the changes you’re most proud of? One really visible one is the upgrade to our whisky still that we did in 2021. We had the whole pot section coated in a ceramic insulating paint that NASA developed for the nose cones of their spacecraft! It radically reduces heat loss from the copper and made our whole distillation much more efficient. The refill scheme is a great one too because it has so many benefits; the environmental impact of reusing the glass bottle is fantastic but it’s great for building a community too, it really encourages people to drop into the distillery or look out for us at local markets. Your work with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is really inspiring. Can you tell us more about the impact this has had, from woodland creation to supporting rural apprenticeships? We were the first distillery in Europe to join the global initiative 1% For The Planet, where we commit to donating at least 1% of sales (not profit) to environmental causes, and we chose Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust as our charity partner. So for every bottle of gin sold, 1 sq m of native woodland is planted. Additionally, for each bottle of liqueur or vodka sold, 1 sq m of wildflower meadow is restored. And finally, for each bottle of whisky sold, we donate £1 to the YDMT’s Rural Apprenticeships Scheme - crucially preserving traditional skills, providing jobs and training for young people and protecting local habitats. With summer on the way do you have a go-to serve you’d recommend? We’re big believers in drinking our spirits however you’d like, we don’t believe in any of the ‘rules’ of whisky or gin drinking. That said, when the sun finally reappears, the first thing we go for is a whisky highball - a measure of whisky, over ice in a tall glass, topped with soda water and a slice of something to garnish. Refreshing, delicious and endlessly customisable. The perfect summer drink! Thank you for joining us. 😊 You started Soul Kitchen with a simple frustration while you were at university. Can you tell us how that moment turned into the brand we see today? Hello! Honestly it really did start from pure frustration (which sounds cliche, I know!). I was at university and constantly looking for something quick for lunch between lectures, but everything in the supermarket either tasted a bit sad or was packed with things I didn’t really want to eat. I remember thinking, why can’t instant soup actually taste like proper soup and be healthier? So I started experimenting in my tiny student kitchen. I was basically trying to recreate the kind of soups my mum would make at home, but in a format that was quick and easy. I’d test different superfoods and veg powders and then add natural flavour and functional ingredients. It slowly turned from a bit of a kitchen experiment into something that people genuinely loved. From there Soul Kitchen just kept growing, but the idea has always stayed the same; simple, comforting soup made with these incredible, nutrient rich, dehydrated ingredients. What do you think makes Soul Kitchen stand out from other instant soup brands? I think the biggest difference is that we treat it like real food first and convenience second. A lot of instant soups are really built around powders, flavourings and fillers. We build ours around vegetables (and lots of it!). Often 10-15 times as much veg as our competitors. By selecting the best quality ingredients, we're able to cut out the gums, seed oils, emulsifiers and basically all the other stuff which massive food manufacturers use to cut cost and corners. Your soups are packed with real vegetables and natural ingredients. Why was it so important to create something that felt closer to homemade food? For me food is always about comfort and feeling looked after. The soups I grew up eating were simple, vegetable-packed and made from scratch, so that’s the feeling I wanted to recreate. When you’re busy you still deserve food that’s nourishing and satisfying, not just something that fills a gap. Using real vegetables means you get proper flavour, texture and nutrition without needing lots of artificial extras. It just makes the whole experience feel more like a bowl of homemade soup rather than something instant. Your mission is all about “convenience without compromise”. How do you balance quick, easy meals with flavour, nutrition and sustainability? It’s definitely a constant balancing act, but that phrase really guides everything we do. Convenience is important because people are busy, but it shouldn’t mean sacrificing quality or nutrition. It genuinely warms my heart when I hear from customers who've incorporated their soups into their busy day... be it emergency workers, carers, people who are travelling, or those who are physically unable to scratch cook. We focus on keeping the ingredient list simple, using vegetables as the base and building flavour naturally rather than relying on additives. At the same time we’re always thinking about sourcing and packaging so we’re making responsible choices wherever we can. As a company we are B-Corp certified and as far as I am aware we are the only instant soup to be packing into paper recyclable sachets! What does a typical day look like for you running Soul Kitchen, and where do you find inspiration for new flavours? No two days are ever the same, which I actually love. One day I might be in the kitchen working on a new recipe, and the next I’m talking to retailers, working with the team on new launches or answering customer messages. Our unit is based in Shropshire and I am so lucky to have the incredible team at Purition to support the manufacturing side of things. The network of other female founders has been a total game-changer for me... so much support, inspiration and passion. A lot of flavour inspiration comes from everyday food. I’m always paying attention to things I cook at home, meals I have when I’m travelling, or even soups people recommend to me. Sometimes the best ideas come from really simple combinations of vegetables that just work beautifully together. FINDRA was born out of a desire to combine my love of the outdoors with my background in design. That was the spark behind FINDRA: a brand built around the idea of connection — to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world. Sustainability is at the heart of FINDRA. Can you share some of the key ways you ensure your clothing is kind to the planet? Right from the start, I wanted to create clothing that considered its environmental impact at every stage. We use natural, biodegradable fibres like merino wool and ethically sourced lambswool, which are not only better for the planet but also offer amazing performance benefits.  Our products are made in small batches, often here in the UK, to reduce waste and support local manufacturing. We design with longevity in mind — both in terms of style and durability — so that our customers buy less, but better. Every decision we make is guided by a desire to tread more lightly on the Earth. FINDRA is built to last and to love. How do you approach creating timeless pieces rather than following fast fashion trends? I come from a background in fashion and textiles, so I understand the pressure of trends — but I also know how fleeting they are. At FINDRA, we focus on creating pieces that are beautifully made, functional, and versatile — items you’ll reach for season after season. We’re inspired by the colours and textures of the natural world, which never go out of style. And we listen closely to our customers, making sure our clothing fits real lives and real bodies. It’s about creating a wardrobe that works for you, not the other way around. From wild walks to weekend bike rides, FINDRA champions the simple joy of getting outside. What’s your favourite way to recharge in nature? I find so much peace and perspective from being outside — it’s where I feel most grounded. For me, a bike ride through the Scottish Borders, where I live, is the ultimate way to switch off and reconnect. I also love a bracing walk in the hills with my dog — just being in the fresh air, feeling the elements on your skin, noticing the seasons change — it’s incredibly restorative. That’s a big part of what FINDRA is all about: encouraging people to find those moments of joy and calm in the outdoors, no matter how small. Before you go, are there any exciting new launches, adventures, or projects on the horizon for FINDRA that you can share? 😀 Absolutely! We’re always looking for new ways to evolve and grow while staying true to our values.
